Svolvær is a central town for the entire Lofoten archipelago and is located on the island of Austvågøy along the renowned Lofoten Wall, in the northern part of Norway. The distinctive mountain, Fløyfjellet or Fløya, is located near the town and features the mountain Svolværgeita with its two peaks resembling horns pointing towards the sky.

Traveling here is convenient as the airport is just a short distance away. What makes this place unique is its beautiful surroundings as well as the town's wide range of attractions. In the center, you can find attractions such as a Magic Ice gallery and bar and the local aquarium.

There are opportunities to hike in the area around Fløya. From Svolvær, only a few kilometers of mountain hiking lead to the beautiful rock formations. On the way up, you pass Svolværgeita, where you can pause to enjoy the nature and the fantastic views of the surrounding fjords and the ocean. For adventure enthusiasts, there are several climbing routes to the top of the mountain. The biggest challenge is the daring jump between Svolværgeita's two horns.

In winter, Svolvær is a popular destination for ski vacations. The snow-covered mountains offer a variety of activities. Besides skiing and snowboarding, you can try other winter activities such as snowmobiling, ice skating, sledding, and snow tubing.
