Trips to Barbate

This is a fishing village primarily known for its tuna. The village itself is small, with a few restaurants, bars, and shops. Life here is peaceful but becomes livelier during July and August. The beaches are impressive; endlessly long, wide, and shallow. On the outskirts of the village, there are a few larger hotels. More shops and restaurants can be found in the nearby town of Barbate, located about six miles away. On a hillside, about twelve miles from Zahara, is the whitewashed village of Vejer de la Frontera, which is well worth a visit.
